Living Philosophy- Park Edition
Time & Location
About the Event
Living Philosophy - Park Edition is a concentrated course made of the finest parts of our program. Following numerous requests, since the beginning of COVID-19 related restrictions, we adjusted our materials and teaching style to fit an outdoor setting. Given our great weather here in LA, and our craving to have actual face to face encounters- especially in these days of relative solitude- the stage was set to creating Philosophy In The Park: a platform for philosophical education in parks. The next step was crafting our Living Philosophy Course to create... Living Philosophy- Park Edition!
The Living Philosophy- Park Edition sets off on Oct 6th, 6pm, near La Brea Tar Pits Museum (Page Museum).
The current talk is an overview of the course and an introduction to Living Philosophy. We have two similar talks, one on Sept 22nd, and the second on Sept 29th, both at 6pm (to 7:30pm), and both near La Brea Tar Pits Museum (Page Museum), a short walk from the parking lot. The parking lot is located at the corner of Curson Avenue and 6th Street, directly behind the museum, and is free from 5pm. Metered parking is available on 6th Street or on Wilshire (9 am to 4 pm only, read signs carefully!).
Attendants will receive instructions about the exact location in the park.
You are invited to bring a folding chair, a yoga mattress, or any other instrument that will allow you to sit comfortably during the talk (and of course you can just sit on the grass).
To respect attendants health we will sit in a wide circle that will allow required distance.
We will be happy to meet all of you as we embark on this Living Philosophy - Park Edition journey.
